December 2007-

Columbia River Gorge/Spokane. This trip was more than just a road trip. It was a fun, fun weekend getaway with my man to see the rock bands 'Tool' in Spokane, and then 'Seether' back in Portland the next night. 6 hours each way, baby!

I love living in Washington and traveling through the ever changing beautiful scenery. The days were crisp and clear and drifting through the low to mid 30 temps. This was during the recent floods here, and our whole journey was quite the experience.

I'm calling this our 'Visa Priceless Weekend:

  - Mike having to leave vehicle and fly home from Seattle.
  - Renting Toyota 4 Runner.
  - Traveling the gorgeous Gorge with my man.
  - Being with hotel guest of the day (yep, that's my man!)
  - Forgetting favorite hairsprayy back home.
  - Standing 45 minutes outside in frigid weather to see Tool.
  - Seeing Maynard live. And, killer laser light show.
  - Mike getting speeding ticket.(Shhh...it's a secret...hahaha)
  - McDonalds french fries and Big & Tastey. Twice. YUM!
  - Buying new rockin' sunglasses.
  - 12 hours travel time...alone...with my man.
  - Snow.
  - Seeing red sticker on nose of deer that someone stuck on
    'Deer Crossing' sign.
  - Discovering new charming cafe in Hawthorne distict.
  - Seeing super talented Shaun Morgan from Seether rip on
guiter & hear him sing. (He has waaayy cool hair!!)
  - Having a banned from US Figure Skating/turned boxer stand in
front of me at concert, swishing her 1984 poodle mop.
  - Having to get up at 4:00a.m. Monday to take Mike to airport
so he can get his vehicle in Seattle and drive 3 hours home.

highest year-round waterfall in the USA
Several hundred yards closer...
The closer you get, the more
mist hits you. But so worth it!
