Lara shook her head. "Tyler, don't let your manliness stand in the way of my helping you. All right, here's what we're going to do. You lean on me." She closed the distance between them and slid into the crook of his arm.
"I don't need a damn crutch!" he bit out, obviously not liking the notion of being assisted by this slip of a woman who's head barely cleared his shoulder in height.
"Nonsense. There you go. Easy now. Just put your arm--yes--that'll do just fine." The proximity of his solid body against hers made her insides whip like a rope caught in a fierce gale. Tiny hairs on her arms stand up. She drew in a deep, steadying breath.
Carefully, she helped him, one arm around his waist until they made it to the red velvet couch.
"Let's get these trousers and shirt off you," Lara insisted, once he was propped up on his left side.
Beads of sweat broke out across Tyler's forehead as he ground his teeth against the surge of pain. Each breath bordered on a groan.
Lara leaned in closer. Tyler caught her by the wrist. "Don't know if I trust you being that close to the family jewels. I'm kind of fond of them."
"You're being irrational." She frowned. "It's not your family jewels I need to see, it's...ah...I need to see your other side."
After long consideration, he agreed to let her undress him. Lara unbuttoned his shirt, exposing dark curly hair that swirled down to his navel. Her gaze shimmied downward toward the fly of his tight trousers pinning directly on his masculinity. She gulped. Sweet mercy, he certainly was well endowed. Her insides were heating faster than a fired oven.
With trembling hands, she worked to unfasten his gun belt, but her fingers wouldn't seem to corporate. She felt awkward being so close to this man, so close to his...
After what seemed an eternity, she finally set his gun belt on the coffee table, and then removed his heavy boots. Next, she unbuttoned his trousers.
"Raise up a bit, Tyler," she said nervously.
He did as she requested.
She moved her hands around either side of his hips and skimmed the garment over long, muscular legs and stocking feet. Her heart was pounding so wildly, she was certain Tyler could hear it.
Finished with the task, her eyes riveted to the half-naked man before her, his big body spanning the full extent of the couch. He looked so fetching under the lamp light. Her insides reached a scorching temperature.

What reviewers are saying:
"...Lissa Larer is a new author to me but well worth reading. I had not read a Western in some time. Tyler and Lara are witty characters who had me laughing out loud. I enjoyed seeing how the characters' history molds the people they become, and the back-story only enhances the plot. RETURN TO REDROSE was an entertaining book with clever dialogue, great descriptions and complex characters. I would definitely recommend this book." - April Moore, The Word On Romance
"...RETURN TO REDROSE is a pleasant trip to the past. With a skilled stroke of the pen, Lissa Larer paints a vivid picture of the Old West." - A Romance Review
"Enticing...RETURN TO REDROSE rates a place along the keepers." - Brenda Ramsbacher, Scribblers
